The AACAP (American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) is the leading national professional medical association dedicated to treating and improving the quality of life for children, adolescents, and families affected by these disorders. The AACAP, a non-profit organization, was established in 1953. It is a membership based organization, composed of over 6,500 child and adolescent psychiatrists and other interested physicians. Its members actively research, evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric disorders and pride themselves on giving direction to and responding quickly to new developments in addressing the health care needs of children and their families. This site is designed to serve both AACAP Members, and Parents and Families. Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the National Health Service - Child and Adolescent Section

Established in 1981, the APP is an organisation formed to advance the practice of psychoanalytic psychotherapy in the National Health Service and other Public Services. The APP achieves its aims by helping to co-ordinate activities and educational facilities for psychoanalytic psychotherapists working in the NHS and other Public Services but it is not a training organisation, and membership of APP does not confer qualification to work in the NHS as a psychotherapist. The APP represents members' views in the NHS and other public services to encourage the development of a psychodynamic perspective in these settings.
